Recipe: Baby Greens Salad With Strawberry Dressing

This salad is one of my Favorites, it's simple and delicious.

1 1-lb. basket of Strawberries quartered
1 5oz. package baby or mixed greens
1 1/2 cups crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup toasted walnuts
1/2 cup cup olive oil
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablepoon sugar

Mash enough strawberries to measure 1/2 cup. Whisk oil, vinegar, and sugar in small bowl to blend. Place remaining strawberries in a large bowl. Whisk in mashed Strawberries. Add greens, cheese, and nuts to remaining strawberries. Add dressing to salad, toss to coat.

Left vs Right Brain!

Last Friday I was on a date with a total bodacious girl, while waiting for our movie to begin, she asked me if I was a right or left brain thinker? I've always thought of myself as more of a right brain thinker, I tend to look at the big picture rather than details, I learn best by observing then doing, I act upon what I feel rather than logic, I prefer Religion & Philosophy over Math & Science. So I sought to find out for sure if i were a righty thinker. I came to these two websites that supposedly help determine if you're a right or left thinker.

So I've decided to start a blog. I'm not quite sure why, yet! Maybe it's just another way of expressing myself in ways that I normally wouldn't. I've titled the blog Memoirs and Landmines: because some of the posts will be normal everyday garbage you know travels, family, friends that sort of stuff; however some of the stuff I post you may not agree with Politics, Religion, Thoughts. As most of you know I like to cook and visit local restaurants, so from time to time I will be posting recipes and recommendations of my favorite new places to to eat, as well as movies and music I'm currently listening too. with all that being said, I guess let the blogging begin!
